How does the Free tier work — card required vs. 7-day trial?
Sign up with a card to keep Free forever (the card is validated, never charged). Or start a 7-day trial with no card — full Free resources for the first week. After day 7 you get a 24-hour grace period, then your app pauses if no card is added. Data stays for another week in case you want to come back.
What counts as a "compute slot"?
A slot is one running service — its own RAM allocation, routing, and SSL. A monorepo with API + frontend + worker uses three slots. Extra slots beyond your plan are $6 per GB of RAM per month, sizes XS (256 MB) through XL (4 GB).
What's the difference between shared and dedicated Postgres?
On Free, Hobby, and Pro, your Postgres runs on shared hardware — your data is fully isolated, you share the underlying node (Pro includes 10 databases and 10 GB). Team gives you your own dedicated Postgres instance for production workloads.
How do free trials and annual billing work?
Hobby includes a 7-day free trial; Pro includes 14 days. Cancel anytime during the trial — no charge. After the trial, the plan renews at the listed price plus applicable VAT/sales tax. Annual billing is 20% off monthly across all paid tiers.
What happens if I hit build minutes or bandwidth limits?
Your plan has hard caps on build minutes and bandwidth — no surprise bills when you exceed them. If you need more headroom, add compute slots or storage packs, or upgrade to the next tier.
